Just in time for the holidays, Tidewater Players is thrilled to provide the area premiere of this family musical based on the classic movie that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas with Music and Lyrics by Academy, Tony, and Grammy Award winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land). Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Featuring all the iconic scenes from the movie—the tongue on the flagpole, the ridiculously impractical snowsuit, the bullies, the bunny suit, and the iconic leg lamp award, as well as many others—this delightful holiday treasure for the whole family will bring an exciting new dimension to those who have seen the movie and touch and entertain those who are experiencing it for the first time.
