Our History
Tidewater Players was founded
in the fall of 1979 and is enjoying its 32nd Anniversary. We
are one of the oldest continually operating community
theatres in the area.
Our permanent home has been the
second floor Opera House on North Union Avenue in Havre de
Grace for that entire time, where we have produced over 50
plays and musicals. We provide an opportunity for
local actors, directors, musicians and "theater techies" to
perform and improve their skills while creating top-notch
theatrical productions for the town of Havre de Grace and
the surrounding community.
We are a non-profit theatre company that performs in an
historic second floor opera hall, located at 121 N Union
Avenue, directly next to the Havre de Grace Volunteer Fire
Department.
Our Board of Directors, our staff, our directors and our
actors are all volunteers who work tirelessly to bring
quality theater to Havre de Grace and Harford County.
Tidewater Players was founded in 1979 by the late Harry Malin.
